Cork is under two weather alerts before Storm Agnes makes landfall tomorrow - a Status Orange rain alert from 9am and a Status Yellow alert for wind
The city and county is expected to be hit by heavy and intense rainfall from 9am tomorrow and high tide is also due to hit in the city at shortly before 5pm
Director of Services at the City Council David Joyce told RedFM News that they are examining storm surge models on what impact the high tide might have on the low lying areas of the city centre
"We have scheduled a severe weather assessment team meeting at two o'clock this afternoon to go through all the various different information that we have from Met Eireann, from the OPW, from other sources, and will be issuing further information to the public after that meeting"
