Munster Technological University has secured yet another prestigious international science conference for Cork. The 2022 EUSEA (European Science Engagement Association) Conference, which helps to shape the future of science communication in Europe, will take place at MTU and Blackrock Castle Observatory on 6th and 7th July.
The event, which will attract more than 120 science engagement professionals from 15 countries, is worth almost €250,000 to the local economy, according to Cork Convention Bureau. It will be attended by educational authorities, industry, science researchers, policy makers, teachers, third level and post grad students, early career research students and science communicators.
The annual event, which brings the European science communications community together, gives advice and tools to help those working in the sector to become better communicators so they can share the wonders of science, or their research, with the public in a comprehensible way.

Keynotes will be given by Dr. Ruth Freeman, Director of Science for Society at Science Foundation Ireland and Jon Chase, science communicator, author and science rapper.
