Cork County Board has confirmed that it will remain in talks with SuperValu over the naming rights of Pairc Ui Chaoimh

The County Board met last night to discuss renaming the venue to SuperValu Páirc as part of a €1m sponsorship deal.

No decision was reached last night following public outcry on the name change

Speaking after last night's meeting Cork GAA CEO Kevin O'Donovan says the discussions with SuperValu are quite complex

"The naming rights story continues, with ongoing negotiations with SuperValu at the moment.  They are very complex deals, in terms of various elements, they are a little more complex than jersey sponsorships or other partnerships,  so we will be considering all aspects of the deal"
