Cork County Council is asking the public to visit, volunteer and contribute to the new online 'Cork Heritage Portal'.
The council has teamed up with the Irish Community Archive Network to develop online archives.
Four digital community archives can now be found at heritagecork.org: Bere Island Projects Group, Kilmurry Heritage Group, Kilshannig Heritage Society and Youghal Community Archives.
The online archives are contributory, so anyone can donate to them to grow the collections.
Documents, letters, maps, photos, records and stories can all be submitted online.
