Cork County Council says they're confident there won't be any further flooding to properties in Midleton today.
The council says there was a heavy spell of rainfall overnight that has led to some localised flooding on roads.
Speaking to RedFM News, Director of Roads and Transport with Cork County Council, Niall Healy says they're continuing to monitor Midleton this morning:
"The weather situation in Midleton this morning is this we've had one high intensity a period of rainfall overnight, that occurred around 1:30am. Since then it's been raining steadily, but not as an intensity that has been in any way alarming. So we're we're pretty confident in the short term that there's no risk of any property floating in Midleton and that's a positive".
East Cork Councillor Susan McCarthy says Midleton saw flooding last week which needs urgent Government help.
"My message to them is that we need this Flood Relief Scheme and we need it fast, and we need pressure put on at all levels to make sure that they expedite this as quickly as possible. We have been asking for this but I think now there is a will to get this done but that needs to be brought home to them".
