Cork County Council says Gardaí are going door to door to houses in Midleton this morning to tell people to be prepared for their homes to flood.
The council say they're keeping a close eye on Midleton again this morning after floods devastated the town and ruined homes and businesses.
Residents in the Woodlands estate near the Owenacurra river is at a high risk of flooding this morning.
Meanwhile crews from Midleton Fire Station are at Willowbank preparing for the river to burst its banks.
Riverside way in Midleton is closed due to heavy flooding.
Bonardcross is flooded and those travelling from Midleton to Whitegate should use the Cloyne Road.
Speaking to RedFM News, Director of Roads and Transport at Cork County Council, Niall Healy says Midleton is a huge concern again this morning:
"We're keeping a very strong focus on Middleton town this morning. There are a number of risk areas that we're focused on. The Woodland Estate is of particular concern to us as it joins the Owenacurra River. And there's a risk of flooding there to a number of properties this morning so council crews and Gardaí are on site and Gardaí have done door to door calls just to alert the residents in the area."
