Cork County Council says more trees have fallen across the county as a result of Storm Herminia.
A Status Yellow alert for wind ended in Cork this morning after strong gusts caused further damage to already weakened trees.
It's after 200 trees were cleared across Cork on Friday and Saturday after Storm Éowyn battered the country.
Director of Service for Roads and Transportation with Cork County Council Padraig Barrett says Cork's roads are in a terrible condition after this month's weather:
"The roads have got a a right hammering between the snow and the ice at the beginning of the month. so you had that freeze thawing, freeze thaw impact on the roads, which led to a lot of potholes. And then we had over 200 trees down around the county on Friday and Saturday, and again yesterday, there was further trees fell yesterday so the cleanup up was hampered yesterday with the with the rainfall and the wind, and again this morning."
