Cork County Fire Service spent almost six hours tackling gorse in Ahakista overnight.
Crews were alerted to the fire last night just after 10am and returned to base close to 4am.
The County Fire service is advising all landowners that the burning of land is illegal since the first of March and are asking them to stop all controlled burning immediately.
Crews from Bantry, Castletownbere, Schull, Skibbereen, Dunmanway, Midleton, Macroom, Mallow and Fermoy have all attended various gorse and outdoor fires since Thursday.
