Cork Debenhams Staff Preparing To Still Be Demonstrating On Christmas Day

It's 107 days until December 25th and thoughts are now turning to who will stand at the blockade on that day.

The comments from the former staff come as the row over redundancies shows no sign of a resolution.

Taoiseach Micheál Martin says the government can't intervene in the liquidation process, while liquidators KPMG say they won't be offering the former employees a further deal.

Staff occupying the city centre store have been given breakfast this morning after KPMG security gave permission for a shuttered door to be partially opened.

Vivian O'Regan has been working at the store for 27 years and should be celebrating her 20th wedding anniversary today.

She told RedFM News that staff are devastated by the lack of progress and is renewing their call for the government to get involved:
