Gardaí in Cork are calling on people to avoid using fireworks this Halloween.
It follows two incidents in Togher and Knocknaheeny where novelty explosives were placed
in the letterboxes of homes.
In recent weeks there have been an increase in reports of fireworks being used across the
city.
The Echo features a warning from the Gardaí today on the dangers of fireworks and that
they could cause serious injury.
