The roads policing unit says it's seeing an increase of distracted driving on Cork roads.
Ninteen people have died on Cork roads so far this year.
Speaking to RedFM News, Inspector of Roads Policing in Cork County Fergal O'Donovan says phone remain a serious distraction in the car:
"They'd have the mobile phone up on the centerpiece on a magnet holder or a phone holder, and they could have any streaming device on it, video has been played as well on it. And people think, because it's not in their hands, they're not being distracted. But they are being distracted, and distraction is dangerous when you are driving."
