The Irish College of General Practitioners is expecting another surge of flu cases.

It comes after a spike in cases over the last few months.

GP's expect the flu season to last until the end of February.

Dr John Sheehan from the Irish College of General Practitioners says it's never too late to get the flu vaccine:

"We're encouraging people to attend for vaccination, because it's not too late to get vaccinated. People often think that after Christmas is too late to get vaccinated for the flu, but that's not the case. So we continue to encourage people to attend for flu vaccination."
