Cork gym says those in the industry will move back online as Level 5 sees a surge in last minute appointments

Retailers across Cork say they've been very busy today with people picking up last-minute items before a six-week lockdown comes into effect tomorrow at midnight.

Salons and hairdressers Leeside say they have also been inundated with people trying to get last-minute appointments.

Meanwhile despite a near 30,000 strong petition to keep gyms open for mental and physical well being, they will also have to close under the new restrictions.

Kevin Murphy of Believe 2 Achieve Fitness in Frankfield told RedFM News says although their clients are disappointed gyms won't be open, they're doing everything to adapt to the situation by working with their clients online:
