A Cork hotelier says that jobs are at risk because of the energy crisis.
The owner of the Vienna Woods Hotel in Glanmire, Michael Magner, believes that the spiraling cost of gas and electricity has the potential to sink businesses.
On Friday, Bord Gáis became the latest energy provider to rise its prises.
It announced a 34% increase in electricity prices and 39% jump in gas bills, from the 2nd of October.
Also on Friday, Captain Americans, the Queen of Rebels bar, and Rice Chinese on South Main Street announced that they has been forced to close permanently due to "difficult trading conditions which made the business unviable".
Speaking to RedFM News, Michael Magner says businesses are being forced to find ways to cost costs, which could have unwanted consequences.
