Cork hoteliers are calling on the Government to maintain vital supports for tourism.
The Irish Hotels Federation says the tourism industry supported over 25,000 jobs in the city and county prior to the pandemic.
Hoteliers in the region are urging the Government to retain existing business and employment supports as well as the 9% VAT rate.
Hotels and guesthouses have seen a €5.3bn collapse in revenue over the past two years and the federation are warning that failure to act now would have major implications for the future of the sector in Cork.
