New data from AIB shows people from Dublin, Kerry and Waterford prefer visiting Cork for their holidays while people from Cork visit Kerry the most.
The bank says pent up demand has provided a boost for sectors like tourism, but it's clear these businesses will need support over the next 12 months.
People spent €19 million in the pub, €30 million in restaurants and €28 million in hotels last month, however the figures are significantly down on the same month last year.
