Dublin and Maynooth are more expensive ‘university towns’ than Cork.
Students in the capital spend €1,730 per month on average while students in Cork spend €1,441 per month.
The money covers rent, groceries, entertainment and transport however accommodation is the biggest expense at €660 per month. Groceries and transport come in at a combined €321 and entertainment costs sit at €329 per month on average.
