Judge Con O'Leary wants another judge to hear the case because he did not want anyone to say afterwards that he had a conflict of interests.

The judge explained to residents who brought the case that he once owned an apartment in the same area as a property owned by the landlord in the proceedings and while he no longer owns the property he doesn't want someone to say afterwards that he and the landlord)were friends.

Today's action was being brought by two residents living close to UCC in respect of complaints of noise from properties in their areas owned by Fachtna O'Reilly.

The case has now been listed for 2 p.m. on Tuesday July 7th before Judge Olann Kelleher at Anglesea Street courthouse.
