A Cork man says he didn't hesitate to stop when he saw a family in difficulty in the city yesterday.
Paul, who works for Enable Ireland, was driving on McCurtain St when he saw a distressed woman trying to get into her car.
He realised her child was choking and says it was an automatic reaction to take over due to his first-aid training.
He says after the incident the mother of the child followed him, asked him to pull over, and took his number so her child could ring him when she's older to thank him.
