LIFT Ireland is a social enterprise that works to build positive leadership skills in communities in Cork and across the country.
The organisation’s annual awards have four Cork nominees in their shortlist, including well-known paramedic Dr Jason van der Velde, HSE/Medico, who has been nominated in the Innovation and Adaptability category.
Mary Murphy has been nominated by her daughter Maura Mackey in the Determination category.
Cork man, Rob Quinn, who works for Bank of Ireland, has been nominated in the Resilience category and Barbara Nugent of Network Ireland Cork has been nominated in the Listening category.
Those shortlisted are people from across Ireland who have demonstrated great personal leadership, making a difference to the people around them and influencing Ireland for the better.
The awards aim to celebrate everyday leaders at all levels of Irish society across the country.
