Cork Simon Community is set to build dozens of homes in Cork City.
The Echo report that the Cork charity has been granted provisional planning permission for a residential development at the site of a former car dealership on Alfred Street and Railway Street.
The planning application consists of 78 apartments which will be a mix of one bed, two bed and studio apartments, with a cafe and retail unit also included.
The plans also seek permission to demolition the existing warehouse buildings.
The building will be in two blocks, one of them ten storeys high and the other 8 storeys.
