Cork students are among the winners at the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition.
The individual award went to Tomás Markey of St Brogan's College in Bandon, for his project on a method of removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere
St Mary's Secondary School in Macroom won the title of Best Overall School, while other schools collecting prizes included Coláiste Treasa in Kanturk,
Kinsale Community School, Coláiste Phiarsaigh in Glanmire, Coláiste Choilm in Ballincollig, Regina Mundi College in Douglas and St Mary's Secondary School in Mallow.
The overall title went to three sisters from Kerry.
