That's according to the latest student housing report from Daft.ie

It shows rents in the city centre have increased 3.8% compared to last year despite the pandemic and the increased level of remote learning.

A double room costs an average of €593 per month while rents have increased by almost 4% percentage in the suburbs with students paying €430 for a single and €522 double room.

The report also found there's also a need for around 50,000 purpose built apartments for students, which could increase to 64,000 over the next ten years.
