Freedom of Information requests show weather warnings for Storm Babet were the most complained about in Ireland
Large areas of East Cork were left under three feet of water when a month's worth of rain fell in just 24 hours during the Storm last October
Complainants to Met Eireann described the forecasting as a "failure and a complete disaster" while others said it was "a joke"
Cork East TD James O'Connor told RedFM News that he is calling for an internal investigation at Met Eireann around the Orange level warning issued for Storm Babet
"There are questions that do need to be answered because the public in general did not get a sufficient level of warning that this style of weather event was going to cause the impact that it did. I would ask that Met Eireann would launch an internal investigation into this matter, because unfortunately, the consequences of Storm Babet are something that the people ofEast Cork, are still having to live through"
