Cork TD says full rate of Pandemic Unemployment Payment should have been restored in Budget2021

A Cork TD says he's very disappointed to see no restoration in the rate of the Pandemic Unemployment Payment.

The rates of the PUP payment were cut at the beginning of September when three rate of the payment were introduced, ranging from €203 to €300.

However Budget2021 didn't see the restoration of the full 350 euro that had been in place.

Speaking to RedFM News Cork TD Donnchadh O'Laoighre says more was needed for those who were struggling as the pandemic continues to threaten livelihoods:
