Cork TD says lack of special school places at crisis point

The lack of special school places in Cork could reach crisis levels if the issue is not tackled as a matter of urgency, according to a Cork TD.

Sinn Féin's Donnchadh Ó Laoighaire says he has spoken to a number of parents in Cork whose children have been refused a school place or been placed on a waiting list.

The Cork South Central TD says the lack of places is a result of a lack of investment and is calling on the Education Minister Joe McHugh to invest in special school places before the autumn.
