A Cork government TD has said that overbudget projects like the new National Children’s Hospital cannot be allowed to delay other HSE projects.
The government's Health Capital Plan 2023 was published this week.
It warned that uncertainty surrounding the costs of National Children’s Hospital might impact other health construction costs.
TD for Cork North Central Colm Burke, told the Echo that projects such as 36 critical care beds for Cork University Hospital, a new major trauma centre at CUH, Heather House and the Blarney Community Nursing unit - must be built urgently.
