Saoi O’Connor, a 19-year-old Climate Activist from Cork has been shortlisted for the Young Humanitarian of the Year award.
The Annual Irish Red Cross Humanitarian Awards take place on the 28th of November.
The Young Humanitarian award is aimed to honour “extraordinary contribution of a young person or group of people who dedicates their extracurricular hours to being a visionary young leader for humanitarian causes.”
Saoi is well known for her activism and has led the Fridays For Future strikes in Cork city.
She has over 8,000 followers on Twitter and has almost 3,000 on Instagram.
She is wholeheartedly committed to spreading information about climate change in hopes to help save the planet.
