The Cork to Kinsale Greenway was brought a step closer to reality earlier.
The County Council has signed a 2.6 million euro contract with Arup to oversee the initial design phases of the project.
It's intended that the Greenway will provide a scenic, traffic-free route to connect Cork and Kinsale for pedestrians, cyclists, wheelchair users, and buggies.
Eventually, it should link into broader West Cork greenway plans by joining with the City to Viaduct Greenway.
