Cork is set to be hit with another cold snap tonight
A Status Yellow low temperature and ice warning comes into affect from 8pm while a yellow warning for snow will hit the county at 9 o'clock tonight.
From midnight a Status Orange warning for snow and rain has been issued until midday tomorrow.
Speaking to RedFM News, Liz Coleman from Met Eireann says intense snow could fall overnight:
"Later on, today, we're going to have a band of rain that's going to push up from the South, and as that rain hits the cold air, it's going to transition to sleet and to snow. So we have a yellow snow warning coming into effect from 9pm for County Cork, and then the Orange warning is coming into effect at midnight, and that's for the intensity of the snowfall that we can expect between after midnight till 12 o'clock tomorrow"
