There are 41 patients waiting on a bed at CUH

Management at the hospital have imposed strict visitor restrictions from today due to infection control issues and being mindful of Covid-19 guidelines.

University Hospital Limerick is the second-most overcrowded hospital in Ireland with 37 patients on trolleys.

The latest figures from the INMO have revealed 252 patients waiting for beds across the country this afternoon, 212 of which are in the Emergency Department.
