453 people are waiting for beds in hospitals around the country with INMO figures showing 343 are in emergency departments, while 110 are in wards.
University Hospital Limerick is the worst affected by overcrowding, with 74 patients on trolleys.
That's followed by 44 at Cork University Hospital, and 33 at St. James's Hospital in Dublin.
