53 people are waiting for a bed at the Emergency Department, according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.
Nationally there are 242 admitted patients without a bed.
University Hospital Limerick is the second most overcrowded with 42 people waiting for a bed.
There also also 7 patients waiting for a bed at the Mercy University Hospital.
