A woman who pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing the death of a mother-of-two in Cork will be sentenced next week.

The case involving 46-year-old Jennifer Thomas of Oakfield View, Glanmire  was mentioned at Cork Circuit Criminal Court today.

Jennifer Thomas replied ‘guilty’ when the charge of dangerous driving causing the death of 50-year-old Sheila Dunne at Sarsfield Court Glanmire on the 11th of February was put to her at a sitting of the court at the end of October.

Today in court defence barrister Paula McCarthy said the probation and welfare report is ready and asked the judge to make an order for a full pathologists report to be provided.

Barrister Emmet Boyle said the defence has the same report as the State which is contained in the book of evidence.

Judge Helen Boyle suggested both sides discuss the matter further and said she does not want it to become an issue at next Tuesday’s sentencing hearing.
