Cork's Black Ash Park and Ride is set to be turned into a new bus interchange.
It's set to quadruple the amount of buses that serve the site on the South City Link Road each hour.
The new plans are included in the wider Bus Connects scheme according to the City Council.
Capacity at the Park and Ride site will quadruple from 6 to 26 bus services an hour according to the Irish Examiner.
The new design which includes an extension of services to areas in Cork without bus routes will offer better links to Cork Airport, UCC, CUH and Kent Station.
It's also set to provide easy interchanges for bus-to-bus.. bike-to-bus and car-to-bus users.
The new routes are due later this year and in early 2026 after approvals from An Bord Pleanála.
