A cost of living protest gets underway in the city centre this hour.
Large crowds have gathered on Grand Parade for the event which has been organised by the Cost of Living Campaign.
The group will march along Patrick Street and turn around at the statue of Fr Matthew before returning to the Grand Parade via Winthrop Street and Oliver Plunkett Street.
Traffic diversions are in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area while the event is underway.
