Counties Cork, Meath and Louth are to benefit from 500 new jobs in the healthcare sector.
The jobs are being announced this morning by the Taoiseach Michael Martin in Riverstick.
95 new residential beds will be in Cork, 121 in Meath and 130 in Louth.
The announcement includes the opening of a state-of-the-art transitional step-down care centre at Riverstick to help alleviate the demand for beds in Cork University Hospital.
Ongoing training will be provided for people who want to apply for jobs.
CEO of The Silver Stream Healthcare Group Tom Finn is excited about the new projects:
"I think they're good jobs. We work closely now with the universities, with nursing programmes and with social care programmes, as part of their education as well. So, we're very much involved in the training and education of these professionals also".
