Cork County Council is recruiting a Town Regeneration Officer as part of the National Town Centre First Policy
The job will involve using the policy to regenerate and develop towns and villages across Cork, in a way that is individually tailored to the needs of each place.
The Department of Rural and Community Development says the Town Centre First policy aims to create town centres that are viable, vibrant and attractive locations for people to live, work and visit, while also functioning as the hub for the local community.
The TRO will also deal with issues such as "dereliction and vacancy".
The salary range for the full-time, pensionable, three-year role begins at almost €73,000.
