The County Council's Severe Weather Assessment Team met again this morning after the National Emergency Coordination Group's meeting.
The Council's Road treatment programme will now include treating P1, 2 and 3 routes - as well as town centres.
The council is reminding local communities that they can avail of grit stockpiles from a number of locations in the county.

Members of the public are asking to be aware of the possible impacts of this Orange Weather Warning, which include;
o Treacherous conditions on paths and roads
o Travel disruption
o Potential supply disruption
o Potential for burst water pipes and damage to engines
o Increased risks to vulnerable members of the community
o Animal welfare issues
o Slack winds over land leading to reduced wind power generation
Motorists are asked to please slow down, allow extra time and be aware of other roads users, especially vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists.
o Be mindful of icy surface conditions
o Check on vulnerable and isolated neighbours
o Keep your phone charged and take it with you on all journeys
