Crews are at the scene of a fire in East Cork.

The Irish Examiner reports the blaze broke out at Midleton Skip Hire in the early hours of this morning.

No injuries have been reported and a number of roads in and around the area of Knockgrifin are closed.

In statement to RedFM News, Gardaí said:

"Gardaí assisted fire services at the scene of a fire at a premises in Knockgriffin, Midleton, Co. Cork that occurred shortly after midnight on Friday, 18th April 2025.

No injuries were reported. The scene is preserved pending technical examination."

Mark Davis from Cork County Fire Service says the blaze has been brought under control:

"6 appliances from Midleton and Cobh attended the incident and brought the fire under control around 4am and there were no reported injuries. So Cork County Fire Service is still on site monitoring the scene."
