A hospital has installed beehives to help ease the fears of children who have suffered life-threatening reactions to bee and wasp stings.
Cork University Hospital has become home to hundreds of bees and patients will be able to watch them come and go via CCTV installed at the entry point of hives.
The initiative was started to deal with some kids fear of getting stung, despite receiving treatment which significantly cuts back the life-threatening aspect of getting a sting.
