Culture Night is expected to attract huge crowds into the city this evening
150 live events are planned across the city with free music, dance and art events taking place in venues such as the Crawford Art Gallery, UCC and Nano Nagle Place
The Everyman Theatre and Graffiti Theatre are hosting afternoon events for children and special free "Culture buses" with performers will take passengers around the city.
Speaking to RedFM News, Events Co-ordinator of Culture Night, Marcella Whelan-Kelly has this advice for anyone heading into the city for their first Culture Night:
"What I would do if I was coming into town not knowing culture night is come straight to City Hall, get a brochure, get a little bit of advice, and maybe take a Culture Bus. They're provided to us from Bus Eireann and Transport for Ireland. And we're very lucky to have them. They give people that chance to explore parts of the city that are a little bit further out, and that they may not get a chance to get to."
