Culture night is expected to draw huge crowds into the city tonight.
Over 200 free music, art and dance events across 90 venues will take place late into the night.
There are also family fun events from 4pm at Cork City Hall and the Cork City Library.
Speaking to RedFM News, Cork City Council Arts Officer Michelle Carew says culture night gets even better each year:
Well, culture night is a real fixture in the calendar at this stage, I think we've had culture night in Cork City since at least 2008 so that's coming up to almost 16,17, years now, and it just gets better and better. I think people have really taken it to their heart."
