The Curraheen Road in Bishopstown remains closed as three units of Cork City Fire Brigade deal with a spillage.
A concerned passer-by contacted emergency services at around 10:30 this morning, when liquid was seen at the junction of a Melbourne Road and Curraheen Road.
It was initially treated as a hazardous material, but this is no longer the case.
The road remains closed and motorist are asked to avoid the area.
