The man in his 40s was involved in an incident at Meadstown at around 6:20 yesterday evening.

"The male cyclist received treatment at the scene in a rural area near Kildorrery following the incident but was later pronounced dead.
His body was brought to Cork University Hospital where a post mortem exam will take place.
The scene remains closed this morning to allow for a technical examination.
Gardaí confirmed to RedFM News that the road will remain closed for some time.
They are appealing for anyone with information about the collision to contact them.
