Dairygold says it doesn't envisage any store closures this year as it embarks on a three year cost savings programme

Under the plan, up to 70 jobs will go as it seeks to make 14 million euro in cost savings.

Dairygold, which is based in Mitchelstown, employs around 1300 people in operations that spread across five countries.

The Co-Op says any decision on their milk processing platform requires further analysis and investigation over the coming months.
