The workers will be laid off for 10-week duration of the Cork Airport shutdown for runway repairs.
The news was given to OCS baggage screeners and assistants for people with reduced personal mobility late yesterday afternoon after four days of tense talks and negotiations.
It had been hoped that OCS would follow the examples of airport employers Aer Lingus and Swissport both of whom consented to keeping their workers on the books for the duration of the shutdown.
