Demonstrators taking part in a housing protest in Cork City this lunchtime say many young people are not planning their future in Ireland.
The organisers of the Raise the Roof rally and march are calling on the government to fundamentally change its housing and homeless policy.
They are warning that the crisis is having a huge impact on society and say any surplus money should be used to immediately create more housing.
Speaking to RedFM News, these demonstrators outlined why they are taking part:
