Donald Trump says he has 'problems' with the EU, including it making Apple repay taxes to Ireland.
Apple lost a long running court battle resulting in the company being forced to pay over 13 billion euro in taxes back to Ireland.
Apple employs thousands of employees at its European headquarters in Hollyhill on the northside of the city.
Mr. Trump says its actions like the Apple tax judgement that have convinced him tariffs on EU goods are necessary.
"We do have problems with the EU because they've tariffed us. They do it in the form of a VAT tax, which is about 20% and many other taxes. They sue our companies. They sued Apple."
