Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, Catherine Martin TD, today announced funding of just under €380,000 for the promotion of Irish arts globally through Culture Ireland’s Grant Programme.
Seventy projects covering architecture, circus, film, music, theatre and visual arts will benefit from this funding. .
In total, 29 projects are in the music sector, enabling Irish artists to perform at important festivals across Europe, Britain, as well as the Irish festival circuit in the US throughout the summer.
Announcing the awards, Minister Martin said:
“Ireland is known worldwide for our artists and it is so heartening to see them return to reach international audiences in person strengthening cultural connections around the globe. I am delighted that the Culture Ireland funding announced today will assist Irish arts to be enjoyed on world stages at an unprecedented level since the pandemic.”
